Looking for self-motivated Ph.D. students who are interested in control theory, machine learning, and robotics. If you’re ready to work on cutting-edge projects, join us! Full Graduate Research Assistantships (GRAs) are available for Ph.D. candidates. Publications are the primary output of the research group.
If at least one of the following areas is your background, our research will be a great fit for you:
- Mathematics
- Control/Autonomy
- Physics
How I can help you
1. Full supervision. With only two or three Ph.D. students at a time, you’ll get my full attention and stay focused. I’ll help develop your skills — topic selection, writing, presentation, and more.
2. Freedom. You’ll choose a topic that excites you, as long as it aligns with the lab’s goals, and you’ll be first author on your own leading papers.
3. Support. You’re encouraged to travel to conferences to learn the newest research, and I’ll support your applications for fellowships/internships.
What you need
1. Self-motivation — the driving force that propels you through the challenges and uncertainties of the doctoral journey. It keeps you committed, focused, and adaptable while producing high-quality research and setting the stage for a successful career.
2. Honesty — not just a personal virtue, but a cornerstone of responsible and ethical research. Upholding honesty in your work ensures the validity and credibility of your research.
3. Prior research experience — a strong foundation of skills, knowledge, and connections that greatly enhances your academic and research journey.
